Custom Campaign URL Parameters

To enhance campaign and traffic tracking in Google Analytics or other monitoring tools, you can add custom URL parameters to your campaign’s landing page URL.

For example the following UTM parameters are commonly recognized by any analytics platforms to categorize and report on traffic sources, making it easier to analyze affiliate traffic, referral effectiveness, and campaign details.

For the given URL format https://www.cryptowaves.app/landing?sc-ref-id=XXX&sc-cmp-id=YYY, here are additional UTM parameters you can add:

  1. utm_source: Identifies the source of the traffic, such as the website or platform driving visitors to your site.

    • Example: utm_source=affiliate
  2. utm_medium: Specifies the type of traffic, which could be paid, organic, referral, etc.

    • Example: utm_medium=referral
  3. utm_campaign: Names the campaign to help you track specific campaigns across sources.

    • Example: utm_campaign=affiliate_campaign
  4. utm_term: Useful for identifying keywords or specific details relevant to the affiliate, referral, or campaign. You can use it to track individual affiliates or other identifiers.

    • Example: utm_term=affiliate_name or utm_term=product_type
  5. utm_content: Differentiates between similar links or ads within the same campaign. This can be useful for A/B testing or tracking different creatives or placements.

    • Example: utm_content=banner_ad or utm_content=email_footer
